Tell your Senators: Hands off TVA!

The Tennessee Valley Authority has provided affordable electricity and good jobs across the south for almost 100 years, but now the Trump Administration wants to sell it off to private owners. Privatizing the TVA would lead to higher energy costs for millions of Americans across 7 states and would jeopardize thousands of union jobs. President Trump has put forward 5 nominations to the TVA board, including some without previous experience in the energy industry and a top political donor. Tell your Senator that the TVA is not for sale and to vote no on Trump’s nominees!
Dear Senator,

I am writing to ask you to vote no on nominations to the board of the Tennessee Valley Authority. The TVA is a critical resource for millions of Americans, providing affordable electricity and good jobs.

President Trump has already weakened the TVA by removing three of board members, and is now pressuring the remaining members to fire TVA’s CEO or face removal themselves. Now is the time to unequivocally reject all attempts to privatize the TVA.

Please vote no on these nominations.
