  • Boo Bash Volunteer Sign-ups

    Join the spooktacular fun at Boo Bash as a volunteer! Dress up in your family-friendly costume, help run games, hand out treats, and keep the spooky fun going all evening. Select your preferred volunteer shift and help make this night unforgettable! 

    Boo Bash takes place on Saturday, October 17, from 3-7 PM at The Grove at Alpharetta Community Center, 175 Roswell Street, Alpharetta, GA.

     

    Volunteer Opportunities

    Early Shift | 1:00-4:30pm   

    Help set up games and assist with vendor check-in.
    At 3:00 PM, you’ll be assigned a game or task until 4:30 PM.

    Late Shift | 4:00-8:00pm                                            

    Assist at a game, tent, or other event station.
    At 7:00 PM, help with light cleanup of supplies.

    Full Event | 1:00-8:00pm                                            

    Support the event from start to finish. Help with games, tents, or other activity stations, and wrap up the night by assisting with light cleanup beginning at 7:00 PM.

  • Volunteer Information

    Attire:
    Get into the spirit! Volunteers are encouraged to wear a family-friendly costume. You’ll receive a volunteer lanyard to wear during your shift. Please wear closed-toe shoes for safety and comfort.

    Check-In and Check-Out:
    All volunteers must check in and out at the Alpharetta Community Center, 175 Roswell Street, Alpharetta, GA 30009.

    Event Parking:
    This event is expected to draw a large crowd, especially with the nice weather. Parking may be limited, so please plan to arrive early. Available parking locations include:

    • Alpharetta Community Center (175 Roswell Street)
    • Amana Academy: (285 S Main St)
    • Wills Park Pool/Baseball Fields/Wacky World Playground (1815 Old Milton Pkwy)
    • Wills Recreation Center: (11925 Wills Rd)
    • Downtown Alpharetta: (2 Park Plaza)

    Event Timeline:

    • 11:00 AM – 3:30 PM: Sponsors and vendors can load in

    • 2:00 – 3:45 PM: Setting up games, assisting vendors/sponsors with loading their items, and placing chairs at the tents; decorating the Monster Dance Party Area, setting up blow-ups, setting up a few tents

    • 4:00 PM: Staff and volunteers at their assigned tent, ready to run their game

    • 5:00 PM: Late-shift volunteers arrive; check in at the Alpharetta Community Center front desk and receive your assigned job or game

    • 6:30 PM: Scarecrow Harvest Awards announced by the DJ

    • 8:00 PM: Event ends; staff and volunteers start cleaning up

    • 9:00 PM: Staff and volunteers get in their cars to go home 😊 (The goal is to work efficiently and finish quickly)

    Volunteer Duties and Support:
    Each game booth will include a how-to-play sheet, candy/prize buckets, and allergy-friendly prizes. Staff will circulate to provide additional supplies as needed. Food vendors will be on-site if you wish to purchase a snack, and the department will provide water for staff and volunteers.

    School Volunteer Hours:
    If you need documentation for school volunteer hours, bring your paperwork with you. Staff will sign your form when you check out at the Alpharetta Community Center front desk.

  • WAIVER OF LIABILITY & RELEASE:
    I/We, the above Participant(s) and/or spouse and/or parents/guardians of the above Participant(s), do hereby consent to my/our/his/her participation in the above Activity including all programs incidental to the Activity. I/We assume all responsibilities for, and risk and hazards of, participation in the Activity, including transportation to and from all programs in the Activity. In consideration of being allowed to participate in the Activity, I/We hereby release and forever discharge the City of Alpharetta, the City of Alpharetta Recreation, Parks & Cultural Services Department, and their respective officials, officers, employees, sponsors, organizers, supervisors, volunteers, participants and agents, from any and all claims, actions or causes of action of whatever kind and nature, including claims for property damage, illness from infectious disease or other sickness, bodily injury or death, arising out of, or sustained as a result of, my/our/his/ her participation in the Activity and all programs incidental to the Activity. I hereby give the City of Alpharetta (“City”) permission to take photographs of me or photographs in which I may be involved with others without compensation to me. These photographs may be used by the City for promotional and information purposes in print, on the City website and in other media.
