  • OMT Certification Grant Application for Physicians

    Fall 2025 – Spring 2026
  • As part of the ACOFP Foundation's Initial Certification Grant program, we are pleased to announce a call for applications for OMT Certification. Physicians who completed initial certification within the last 10 years who did not take the practical exam are eligible for up to $1,000 in funding to complete this portion of the exam. These funds will cover OMT exam fees and up to $500 in travel costs. Partial grants may be awarded.

    The application deadline is Saturday, February 28, 2026.

    Please note: Applicants must register for the exam separately through AOBFP. The following application is just for the OMT Certification Grant subsidy.

  • Eligibility

    To be eligible, the applicant must:

    • Be an ACOFP member. Not a member? Join now.
    • Take the AOBFP OMT (practical) exam.
    • Submit proof of payment of certification fees and travel expense report form.
    • Not receive financial support from their employer sufficient to cover the entire cost of the AOBFP exam and travel. Partial grants may be awarded.
    • Submit completed W-9 form.

    Funding for Initial Certification Grants comes from a variety of donors, including ACOFP members and organizational partners. If you are awarded a grant, the Foundation asks that you provide a written or video testimonial and complete a brief survey about your experience.

    Optional engagement opportunities with organizational supporters exist for interested recipients. Your willingness to engage with our donors will help ensure that residents who come after you will have access to this program.
