  • Description:

Home for the Holidays Market brings all of the coziness of the holiday season to the Freight House Farmers Market. There will be live music, local vendors and so much more! For the Home for the Holidays Market, we only consider the following types of applications: Produce - Certified organic produce, chemical-free produce, and Iowa homegrown produce. *Out-of-state produce must be pre-approved, and the State of Origin must be displayed on all items. Plants and Floral Products - Fresh and dried flowers, seeds, and potted plants. Baked Goods - Bread, pies, cookies, cakes, and other homemade baked goods. Maker/Crafter - Homemade home décor items (candles, soaps, handmade jewelry, and other art items). Because the crafts category is very wide, it is vital to maintain a high level of quality for our market. Meat, Dairy & Eggs - Farm-raised meat, dairy, and egg products, such as beef, chicken, turkey, cheese, milk, ice cream, eggs, etc. Specialty Food Items - Specialty HOMEMADE food items that are not considered baked goods, including honey, mustards, salsas, jams, and other HOMEMADE food items. Food Trucks/Carts/Prepared Food - Temperature-controlled food items require licensing through the Health Department. Proper licensing must be in place and inspection by the local health department to be completed before being allowed to vend. Wine & Beer - Wine and beer products made in Iowa or Illinois. Proper licensing is required. Pet - treats, clothes, collars, and other items. Please note: Pet food and treats are now to be licensed by the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship. Boutiques: We will consider local boutiques offering unique, quality items. We do not accept MLMs, franchisees, medical or commercial merchants for approval at this time. Vendors are heavily encouraged to decorate their booths in a festive holiday theme. Let's make this fun for all! Applications must be received on or before Oct 17, 2025 to be considered. Application review and approval/denial process begins Sept 22, 2025. Categories fill up quickly and once filled, all approved applications for that category will be "waitlisted". Upon being accepted as a Home for the Holidays Market vendor, you will be invoiced for the full fee. Invoices must be paid in full before allowed to vend. No refunds will be given for any reason.
