🏀 T1E EVENTS — CONSENT TO PLAY & LIABILITY WAIVER
(Must be completed to participate in the tournament)
1. Assumption of Risk
I understand that participation in the T1E Events Basketball Tournament involves physical activity and carries inherent risks, including falls, collisions, and other injuries. I voluntarily assume all such risks and unforeseen accidents.
2. Release of Liability
I release and hold harmless T1E Events, its staff, volunteers, referees, facility owners, sponsors, and partners from any claims, liabilities, or expenses arising out of participation, including those caused by negligence, to the fullest extent permitted by Colorado law.
3. Medical Consent
If a player is injured or experiences a medical emergency, I authorize tournament staff, coaches, volunteers, and medical personnel to provide necessary care, including arranging emergency transportation. I accept full financial responsibility for any related medical costs, regardless of insurance coverage.
4. Insurance Responsibility
I certify that my team has adequate health and/or accident insurance to cover injuries, or I agree to personally cover all costs associated with injuries incurred during participation.
5. Facility & Equipment
I agree to be financially responsible for any damage my team causes to facilities, equipment, or property during the event.
6. Conduct & Rules
I agree my team will follow all tournament rules, sportsmanship standards, and facility regulations. I understand that violations — including disrespect toward referees, coaches, players, or spectators — may result in removal from the event without refund.
7. Photo/Video Release
I grant permission for photos or videos of my team to be taken and used for promotional purposes, including social media, marketing, and event coverage, without compensation.
8. Refund Policy
Refunds are only given before schedules are posted.
Once schedules are posted, no refunds will be given.
Early refund requests accrue $100 administrative fee.
9. Legal Jurisdiction
This agreement is governed by Colorado law. Any legal disputes will be resolved in Colorado courts.
Additional Guidelines & Expectations
*Parents, players, coaches, and spectators must behave respectfully at all times.
*The possession or use of alcoholic beverages is prohibited.
*The possession or use of illegal drugs or substances not prescribed by a physician is prohibited.
*Weapons, firearms, fireworks, open flames, explosives, or dangerous materials are prohibited.
*Cheering is encouraged — yelling at referees, players, or coaches is not.
*Any fighting, physical altercation, or unsafe conduct will result in immediate removal and possible legal action — no excuses.
*Tampering with fire alarms, extinguishers, or other safety equipment is prohibited.
Facility rules must be followed at all times.
*If there are any questions or concerns regarding a player’s age or grade, the parent/guardian must be prepared to show official proof (e.g., birth certificate, school record). Failure to provide proof may result in player ineligibility.
Violations of these rules may result in permanent removal from the event without refund.
