Adult Education Policies and Procedures
1. Booking Requests
Please allow at least 2 weeks' notice before your preferred program date.
Submitting a booking request does not guarantee confirmation. All requests are subject to review and the availability of our staff.

2. Availability and Location Policy
In-Person Programs:
We can only accommodate in-person bookings within Kentucky, Southern Indiana, and Southern Ohio.
Virtual Programs:
For requests outside of Kentucky, Southern Indiana, and Southern Ohio, we primarily offer virtual programming. In-person presentations will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
All bookings (in-person or virtual) are dependent upon staff availability. We strive to accommodate as many requests as possible, but we cannot guarantee availability on all dates.

3. Confirmation Process
After submitting your booking form, you will receive a confirmation email once your request has been reviewed and approved.
If we are unable to accommodate your preferred date or format, we will work with you to find a suitable alternative.

4. Cancellations & Changes
If you need to cancel or modify your booking, please notify us at least 48 hours in advance.
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule bookings due to unforeseen circumstances, such as staff emergencies or technical issues (for virtual sessions).

Explore the long-lasting impact he has had on the thoroughbred racing world. Come along as we explore the life of the unforgettable “Big Red” and share a story that truly is bigger than horse racing!The Run for the Roses: Discover the development and evolution of the rose garland, the Derby’s most iconic prize. Learn the origins of how the Derby became the run for the roses and how this tradition has been carried into modern day!

HorsePower: The Making of the Tremendous Machine: For over four hundred years, humans have bred Thoroughbreds to sustain astounding speeds, culminating at Churchill Downs Racetrack in the Kentucky Derby. This program explores the anatomy and physiology of Thoroughbreds through the lens of the sport’s greatest star, Secretariat. Participants will understand why Thoroughbreds are not only incredibly athletic, but how they have become the ultimate “Racing Machine”.From the Horse’s Mouth: A History of the Kentucky Derby: This program will bring you back to what the Derby is truly all about— the horses! Learn about Kentucky Derby history through the eyes of its most notable horses, both past and present. Join us as we explore the stories of triumph, heartbreak, and intrigue that shape the Kentucky Derby’s legacy!The History of the Kentucky Derby in 10 Objects:Based on the book The History of the Kentucky Derby in 75Objects by the Kentucky Derby Museum and Jessica K.
