    Request for Equivalent Training

    State of Minnesota Board of Private Detective and Protective Agent Services 

  • This form should be submitted by license holders seeking to submit a course for approval as their Continuing Education. If you are a Training Provider seeking board-certification of your course, please submit a Training Course Application Form.

    The approval process may take up to 30 days.

    • License Holder Information 

    • Upon approval, only the license holder (and their employees) who submitted the application will be allowed to use the course for their Continuing Education.

    • Course Information 

    • No training course will be approved for equivalent training without the course description to meet the requirements in Board Administrative Rule 7506.2200 and 75.062300 subpart 1 items A through G.

    • Instructor Information 

    • The following information is needed for all instructors/speakers. Please click "+Add Instructor/Speaker" for each additional instructor or speaker who will participate in the instruction of the course.

    • Document Upload 

    • The following documents are REQUIRED to be submitted. Please upload the following:

      • Course Outline
      • Any other related materials (Speaker resume/bios, conference schedule)

      Failure to include these documents in your application may prolong the approval process.
