Who We Are:
Urban Roots is farming to grow young minds and cultivate tomorrow’s leaders. Our farms are learning spaces where young people can nurture their leadership skills, all while supporting their community by providing fresh produce for their neighbors.
What is the Community Ambassadors Program?
Community Ambassadors is a program offered by Urban Roots aimed to bring community members to our organization to be a part of the work that we do. This program is a volunteer-based program rooted in reciprocity that gives you the opportunity to volunteer with us weekly. Whether you have a newfound interest in gardening or have years of knowledge to offer, there’s a place for you!

- Community Outreach & Engagment: Tabling at Farmer's market and community events
- Farmwork: Harvest, vegetable processing, field maintenance, etc
- Youth Programming: Support youth programming as an interviewer, facilitator of focus groups, etc
