J.A.M.M stands for the Jackson Area Music Movement. Our goal is to provide an outlet for those that are 16+ in our community looking for a singing group that focuses primarily on musical theatre, contemporary, and pop genres. The expectation is that we provide quality music to the Jackson Community! We do have performance possibilities available. There will be a performance group within this group. If you are interested in being part of this group but do not wish to perform, we still have a spot for you. These members will be called auxiliary members. First and foremost, this is an musical outlet for likeminded people to have fun! J.A.M.M. was founded in 2015 and paused in 2024. After taking a break, refocusing on our vision, and looking at the future, we have decided to bring the group out of it's hiatus starting September 2025.The concept is to have a group of skilled performers who are able to perform in group numbers as well as individuals. This is a fast paced group that thrives on new music, challenges, and working together with like minded performers. This group runs all year and has a monthly fee of $15 to be considered an active member. We meet once a week on Thursdays from 7:30-9:00pm. Communication is key and we are willing to be flexible with schedules when conflicts arise like performing in a musical, plays, sports, vacations, etc. All ages are welcome but members should be able to match pitch, work well in group settings, follow direction, and have a passionate and positive attitude.
