By participating in the "Come Home for Christmas" parade, all entrants agree to the following Terms of Use and category-specific requirements.
General Terms of Use
- Assumption of Risk: Participation is voluntary and at your own risk. You are responsible for your own safety and property.
- Liability Waiver: The Greenville Chamber of Commerce is not liable for any injury, property damage, repair costs, or other losses incurred before, during, or after the event.
- Indemnification: All entrants agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Chamber and its affiliates from any claims or damages arising from their participation.
- Insurance: Motorized entries are strongly encouraged to carry liability insurance for the duration of the parade.
- Compliance: All entries must follow parade rules and directions from organizers and volunteers.
Entry Categories & Requirements
1. Floats & Motorized Vehicles
- Must be insured and operated by licensed drivers.
- No reckless driving, engine revving, or tossing items from vehicles.
- Riders must remain seated or secured.
2. Walking Groups & Marching Bands
- Must stay within designated areas and keep pace.
- Adult supervision required for youth groups.
- Props/instruments must be safely carried.
3. Animals (Horses, pets, etc.)
- Must be well-trained and under control.
- Handlers are responsible for cleanup.
- Animals must be comfortable around crowds and loud sounds.
4. Dance, Cheer, & Performance Groups
- Performances must be family-friendly.
- Do not stop the parade flow with lengthy routines.
- Group safety is your responsibility.
5. Commercial Entries
- Business branding must be tasteful and appropriate.
- Items may be handed out or tossed (not thrown).
- No aggressive promotion or solicitation during the parade.
