Self-transportation policy
Parents who give permission for their children to be released from San Antonio Botanical Garden teen programs to walk, bike, or drive themselves home assume full responsibility of their child once they leave the Garden. The Garden cannot be held liable for any accident or injury that occurs once a child has been released to provide their own transportation home. If the program duration extends past Garden operating hours, teen participants will not be allowed to remain on Garden grounds after the program concludes.

When providing self-transportation, please remind your child of the following safety guidelines:
- Always check out with an authorized staff member. 
-Always enter and exit the Garden through the main entrance.
- Communicate with a Guardian/Parent when you leave the Garden and when you arrive home.

I hereby consent and authorize the San Antonio Botanical Garden, its publishers, licensees, and assignees, permission to use and reproduce still photographs and/or film footage taken of me (and/or taken of my child/children) in whole part, with or without names, for editorial, trade or advertising purposes. I also confirm that I waive all claims arising from use for additional compensation, damages, and invasion of privacy.*

I certify that my child has my permission to attend the Garden's teen programming and participate in all activities. I understand that it is my responsibilty to ensure safe transportation for my child, to and from the Garden, and that the Garden cannot be held liable for any accident or injury that may occur once the program concludes and my child has been released.

In consideration of participant(s) enrolled at the San Antonio Botanical Garden, the undersigned hereby releases the San Antonio Botanical Garden, its employees and agents from any action, claim, or demand for personal injury of property loss from or duee to any negligent act or omission of the San Antonio Botanical Garden, its agents or employees. This release shall have no effect with regard to damages caused by the San Antonio Botanical Garden's gross negligence. Permission is given for any emergency medical treatment or service.

I understand that for the safety of program participants, parents and adults with the exception of supervising Garden staff and approved Garden volunteers are not permitted in the program area. I understand that only participants ages 13-17 are permitted to attend teen-only programs at the Garden.

Teens participating in teen-only programs at the Garden are responsible for and expected to maintain communication between their parents/guardians in regards to transportation before and after the program. Teen participants must abide by the Guest Guidelines outlined on our website: https://www.sabot.org/visit/plan-your-visit/ as well as the following additional guidelines:

- Treat Garden Educators, Staff, Volunteers, and fellow participants with respect.

- Check-in and Out with an authorized Garden Educator upon arrival and conclusion of the program.

Failure for teen participants to abide by the Garden Guidelines can result in expulsion from teen programming at the Garden.

No child will be allowed to participate without consent and completion of this form by a parent or guardian.
