A combined club’s program for Club member’s schools’ sailors and their fellow students to build on the interest of Team Racing.
Team Racing coaching and training on Wednesday afternoons building experience, skills and confidence of Team Racing. A mixture of shore based and on the water training. If weather is inclement, team racing theory sessions will take place.
Note
Students can enroll in training as individual student-members, or as a school group.
Students must have previous Team Racing experience and their own sailing gear.

Further Details
Sessions will run from 14:00 - 17:00 on Wednesday afternoons. Sailors to be ready to sail for 14:15 for each session.
Sailors require their own sailing gear and buoyancy aid, appropriate winter sailing gear such as hats, wetsuits, boots, cag’s, and gloves.
Training will be aboard Club’s double handed dinghies and will run from RSGYC.
As with Team Racing competition, sailors will switch in and out of boats as part of the training.
Students from different schools may be combined on coaching days as appropriate to facilitate efficient training.
Dates
September 3rd, 10th, 17th 24th, October 1st, 8th & 15th. 7 sessions in total.
Program Fees
The cost per sailor per coaching series is:
€210, or €30 p/ individual session for RSGYC Members
€245, or €35 p/ individual session for RSGYC Guests
Credit cannot be issued for sailors missing individual sessions. Schools may provide substitute sailors as appropriate once the Training Organisers have been advised in advance of the session.
Sailors must be signed up in advance to participate. Registrations must be completed by the Monday prior to the Wednesday's session.
The organisers reserve the right to cancel a session(s), and will issue a refund for that session.
Student-Sailor Representative
Each student-sailor must have a parental or school representative in attendance for each session. Schools can share this stipulation with prior agreement amongst the schools or parent representatives and Training Organisers. The Club's facilities are available for the representative's use.
Club Membership
Sailors who are not a member of a participating Yacht Club will be registered as temporary members for the duration of their scheduled session(s).
