Educators attend classes with us to learn how to become Orton Gillingham Reading Specialists. They are referred to as ReSiTs, or “Reading-Specialists-in-Training.”

While these educators are learning, they need students to work with to practice their skills. When you sign up to work with a ReSiT, you are not only helping that educator, you also get a great deal on tuition!

If you are a new family, or have not been with us for awhile, after you apply, we will arrange a brief screening for your student to determine eligibility. We will notify you if we have a placement for your student.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Tuition:

$900 for 30 sessions (during the school year), unless you are approved for a scholarship.

$600 for 20 sessions (during the summer) unless you are approved for a scholarship.

Payment: 

After you receive your enrollment confirmation, you will be billed for the full amount of the tuition, unless other arrangements have been made.

Communication and Important Information: 

You will receive progress reports from your student’s Reading Specialist in Training by e-mail: twice during the program if you are taking it during the school year; one time during the progrram if you are taking it during the  summer.

Technology:

Please have a Zoom-capable computer and internet service. A weak internet link will be problematic during sessions. Students must be on a laptop or desktop computer. No chrome books or IPads. If these requirements cannot be met, we may need to discontinue services.

Attendance:

By signing this application, you are committing to attending all sessions, barring illness or emergency. Missing a session deprives the Reading Specialist in Training of the teaching hours needed for certification. Missing two or more sessions for any reason may result in the removal of the student from the program. (Poor attendance has a direct effect on your enrollment in future ReSiT programs.) No make-ups or refunds are available if a session is missed.
