A Longer Table's Young Voices for Change Award Application
Thank you for your interest in the Leigh Crawford Young Voices for Change Award. This award celebrates students who use their voice to create positive change, particularly in addressing issues of food access and equity. The recipient will receive a $1,000 education award to further their academic and personal development. Please complete the following application by April 15, 2026. Award will be presented in June 2026. Only complete applications will be considered. You must provide at least one letter of support from a teacher or mentor.

Student Status: I am currently enrolled in high school (grades 9–12) or a comparable academic program.
Location: I reside or attend school in Marion County.
Commitment to Food Access and Equity: I have demonstrated an active interest and involvement in improving food access, food equity, or related community service efforts.
Age: I am between 13-19 years of age at the time of submitting this application.
Use of Funds: I agree to use the award funds exclusively for eligible educational expenses, including tuition, fees, textbooks, academic supplies, technology, workshops, educational programs, research, or educational travel and application fees.
Reporting Requirements: I agree to submit a report detailing how the award funds were used, including receipts, by October 1, 2026.
Willingness to Share: I am willing to share my story and efforts in food access and equity at a future event hosted by A Longer Table, if requested.
