Fayette County Conservation District Scholarship Application SUMMER 2025

1) Complete online application, include separate page for clubs, jobs, etc if applicable.

2) Attach a copy of your most recent transcript including school name and most recent GPA.

3) Attach 450-500 word essay on the assigned topic.

4) Attach a copy of your driver's license or legal ID showing Fayette County residence; applicant can provide formal mail to provide proof of residency as well.

Applicant must be a valid resident of Fayette County, KY/; must be a "rising senior" (entering senior year of High School) or 2025 High School graduate. Student should have the sincere intention to pursue a college major in agriculture, natural resources, environmental science, or related discipline; must possess a cumulative GPA of 2.7 or higher.

Essay Topic Summer 2025: Discuss the impact of urban agriculture in Fayette County, Kentucky. Highlight its contributions to food security, community involvement, and conservation. Provide examples of three local organizations that are central to urban agriculture in our area and describe the positive impact they have on our community. Extra points awarded for a 3.5 essay.
