Wheels on the Bus Application 2024-2025

Wheels on the Bus funding will cover field trip costs for one grade level (2nd, 3rd, or 5th grade) from a WCPSS Title I elementary school to visit a local arts or cultural destination during the school day. Schools may submit only one application per school year.

Only Title I WCPSS elementary schools are eligible to apply.

Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis now through November 1, 2025 or until all available funds are awarded. Award notifications will be sent via email within two weeks of application receipt.

FIELD TRIP DETAILS

The following fields should match the information entered into your school's request for bus transportation through the WCPSS intranet, if you are planning to use WCPSS buses. Verification of transportation-related expenses must be submitted after the field trip.

If your preferred field trip is full by the time your application is received, we will contact your principal to determine your second choice field trip.

UPDATE: Carolina Ballet's Nutcracker on December 12, 2025 and Raleigh Little Theatre's Cinderella on December 17, 2025 are both sold out. There are no more tickets available for these two events.
