  • About: Coaching Preferences & Lesson Availability
All coaches at camp are Olympians, college coaches, or elite-level coaches, ensuring every athlete receives high-quality, world-class instruction.

We make every effort to accommodate coaching preferences; however, due to high demand for certain coaches and limited private lesson availability, we cannot guarantee specific coach assignments.

While preferences are taken seriously, our priority is creating the best possible training experience for each athlete. Every camper will work with outstanding coaches, regardless of assignment.

Families are encouraged to list multiple coaching preferences to increase scheduling flexibility. If no preferences are provided, coaches will be assigned by camp staff.

  • CODE OF CONDUCT

  • At the Elite Fencing Camp: College Coaches & Olympians, our top priority is providing every camper with a safe, respectful, and positive experience. To support this goal, all campers are expected to follow the Code of Conduct outlined below at all times.

These guidelines help ensure a fun, inclusive, and focused environment for all campers and staff.

    Campers Are Expected To (DO):

    • Treat fellow campers, coaches, counselors, and staff with respect.
    • Follow instructions promptly and listen carefully.
    • Use appropriate and polite language.
    • Keep hands, feet, and personal space to themselves.
    • Take turns, share equipment, and support one another.

    Campers Must NOT (DO NOT):

    • Bully, tease, or intimidate others. TMFC has a zero-tolerance policy for bullying.
    • Steal, damage, or misuse property belonging to others.
    • Engage in behavior that puts the health or safety of anyone at risk.
    • Exhibit violent, disruptive, or inappropriate behavior.
    • Bring valuable personal items. The Elite fencing Camp is not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen items.

If a Camper Does Not Follow the Code of Conduct:

    • A counselor will remind the camper of the expected behavior and provide guidance.
    • Continued issues will be addressed by the Camp Manager or Camp Directors, documented internally, and discussed with the parent/guardian.
    • If behavior does not improve after parent/guardian communication, the Camp Manager or Camp Directors may require the camper to be picked up early.
    • If a camper’s behavior poses a risk to themselves or others, the parent/guardian will be contacted immediately and required to pick up the camper. Depending on severity, the camper may be dismissed from the remainder of camp.

Failure to comply with this Code of Conduct may result in removal from camp without refund.

Parent & Guardian Policy (Sleep-Away Camp)

For the safety, structure, and well-being of all campers:

    • Parents and guardians may not visit or remain on campus once campers have been dropped off.
    • Campus access is limited to designated drop-off and pick-up times only, unless prior approval is granted by the Camp Director.
    • Any visit outside of scheduled times must be pre-arranged with camp administration.
    • Unscheduled visits or attempts to access campers during camp activities are not permitted.

This policy helps maintain a consistent camp environment and supports camper independence and safety.

    Parent & Guardian Access During Drop-Off & Pick-Up

To ensure camper safety, privacy, and smooth operations:

    • During drop-off and pick-up, parents and guardians are not permitted on dormitory hallways or residential floors.
    • Campers and staff will manage unloading, transporting, and loading luggage to and from dorm rooms.
    • Parents should remain in designated drop-off and pick-up areas only, as directed by camp staff.
    • These procedures help protect camper privacy and allow staff to maintain an organized and secure environment.

    Communication & Device Policy
To support a fully engaged, present, and connected camp experience, personal cell phones, computers, and video-gaming devices are not permitted for campers under 18.

This policy is intentional and consistent with best practices at high-quality sleep-away camps.

Our goal is to help athletes:

    • Fully immerse in training and recovery
    • Build independence and confidence
    • Develop problem-solving and communication skills
    • Form meaningful connections with teammates and staff
    • Spend their dorm time on recovery, and social bonding which are critical to having the best experience.
    • Campers are encouraged to work through small challenges—such as roommate adjustments or daily concerns—directly with our staff, who are trained to support them.

If a camper is injured, ill, or experiencing a situation that requires parent involvement, we will contact families promptly. If a camper needs to reach a parent, staff will arrange a limited, supervised call.

We appreciate your partnership in helping create a focused, supportive, and distraction-free camp environment. Any phones or electronic devices found by staff will be confiscated until the end of the camp
