Episcopal Community Services (ECS) 2026 Grant Application
Episcopal Community Services | The Episcopal Diocese of Ohio (dohio.org)
Applications are due no later than October 10, 2025.
For grant questions, please contact The Rev. Rosalind Hughes.
Through Episcopal Community Services (ECS) parishes apply for and receive financial support to create partnerships that strengthen communities, give in spiritual fidelity to God, and serve the world as the very body of Jesus.
Mission Statement:
The Episcopal Community Services builds Episcopal identity, collaboration and community in northern Ohio through strategic grant-making on behalf of the people of the Episcopal Diocese of Ohio.
Funding Criteria:
- Encourage education and advocacy
- Strong Episcopal Church participation and support
- Volunteerism: It is important to engage Episcopal volunteers from our congregations
Our funds for grants will be limited, and therefore we will be giving priority to parish programs over community programs.
* In 2025 we granted nearly $155,000 in total funding that was allocated to 24 grant applicants. Our hearts, like yours, want to fund generously and we work thoughtfully with prayer in the distribution process for every applicant. Every application is reviewed by council members as we allocate the current year available funding.*
Instructions:
- All questions should be answered reflecting the above descriptions and funding criteria for ECS.
- Awards are given for the calendar year, January – December, and financial years should reflect that time frame.
- Supporting documents in the form of photos/videos should be uploaded with the application. The purpose of these is to provide visual support of existing or intended programs and will be used in evaluating the application. In addition, these may be used in materials that promote ECS in development and illustrate the impact programs have in the Episcopal Church.
- A photo/video release form must be signed and submitted for any such materials. It is available as a download from the diocesan website.
