How would your classmates or friends describe you? Please list things they enjoy about you, and things they may find challenging.
The trip involves several miles of walking over uneven pavement and climbing a lot of steep, uneven stairs. Disability accommodations are usually nonexistent or inadequate. The optional temezcal also involves prolonged (potentially up to two hours or more) exposure to intense heat, similar to a sauna. You must be in excellent cardiovascular shape to participate. Are you in good enough physical condition to participate in these activities?
Yes
No
Please note any physical or emotional limitations, if any, that may limit your ability to participate in the trip.
The trip involves about 12 relative strangers spending an emotionally intimate week together. Lifelong friendships are formed, and in the process differences of opinion and conflict inevitably arise. How do you resolve conflict?
Mexico tends to be more laid back than the U.S. Buses are late, people don't show up on time (or at all), reserved restaurants can be slow or closed, etc. In reflection of this, parts of the trip will almost certainly not go as planned, despite our best efforts. How do you respond to changes in schedules, or things not going as planned?
How comfortable are you (or are you willing to be) with international travel?
The main lodging in Malinalco is a large compound. You will be sharing a room with others. Please list any accommodations to consider as I make these assignments (e.g., gender preferences, do you snore, light sleeper, etc.). We will do our best to accommodate these preferences.
If you would like to attend with others, please list those you would like to have as a roommate.
