  • Grant Information:

    Applicants must be paid SEK Museum Alliance members to be eligible for this grant. Grant applications are due by Oct. 15, 2025. Grant applications should be sent to Suzanne Shaffer, 105 W. Butler St., Yates Center, KS 66783.

    One grant will be awarded yearly for a maximum of $750.  This amount will not be awarded automatically.  Please state the amount requested and be prepared to justify it on your Project Budget.

    This grant will be awarded for one of the following purposes:  preservation, display, or technology.  This year’s grant will be for a museum display.

     

    Grant Specifications:

    80% of the funds will be awarded up-front, with the remaining 20% awarded upon receipt of the final completion report.

    20% of the grant budget may be for in-kind expenses.

     

    Timeline:

    - Sept. 1 – Application window opens with an email to members

    - Sept. General Meeting – Grant program presented to members in attendance

    - Oct. 15 – Applications due

    - November General Meeting – Grant awardee announced at the meeting and then by email

    - April General Meeting – the awardee is required to present a project progress report

    - September 1 of the following year – Project must be completed and a report given at the September general meeting
