The Deacons are a service group dedicated to meeting the various needs of the congregation. Our Deacons rely on lay members of the church to serve along side them, and we encourage you to pray about how God would have you serve in the upcoming year.
Our Deacons minister to members’ spiritual needs, calling on those confined in hospitals and rehabilitation centers. They minister to those confined to their homes and nursing homes. They minister to those struggling with financial concerns, bereavement, and crisis issues. They provide assistance to members with home repair needs. They work with new members to connect them to the various ministries of the church.
The process of electing Deacons is as follows:

Nominate up to 10 people, that you have spoken to about serving, you wish to see in service as a Deacon. Nominations can be submitted online from August 31st to September 21th using either the church app or the link provided in the Church Life weekly newsletter. Members may also contact the church office to receive a nomination form by mail.

The Deacon Qualifying Committee will determine eligibility according to church bylaws. All qualified nominees will be contacted requesting their prayerful response as to their willingness to serve.

The Deacon Qualifying Committee will present the proposed deacons for election during the fourth quarter business meeting.

The newly elected deacons who have previously never served as a Deacon will be ordained during a special service.
