  • LGYC 2025/2026 WINTER Boat Storage Lease Agreement Nov 1st 2025 - April 30th 2026

    Location of ALL boats will be determined by best use of space. Requests made for a particular location will be accepted but not guaranteed. IF YOU ARE GOING TO A WINTER REGATTA you must let us know so that we can best position your boat for easy removal. Boats which are stored for the winter will start to be removed from buildings during the last week of April. All trailers must be identified with Lessee’s name on the tongue of the trailer. Unidentified boats and trailers will be locked and subject to a penalty fee equal to 20% of and including the appropriate storage fee. The "winter season" is defined from Nov 1st to April 30th.

  • TERMS OF AGREEMENT

    By Clicking "Submit" below you are agreeing tothis Contract. This contract is between Lake Geneva Yacht Club (Lessor) and the “Lessee” (Stated Above) for storage.

     

    1.       The storage provided by this agreement shall be for use of SPACE ONLY and at the sole risk of the Lessee. Lessee hereby releases Lake Geneva Yacht Club (Lessor) of all liability for theft or damage of any kind to the boat, contents, gear, or equipment and any other property of owner whatsoever, whether such loss or damage shall have been caused by the fault or negligence of the Lake Geneva Yacht Club (Lessor) or any of Lake Geneva Yacht Club’s employees, agents, or invitees.

    2.       Lake Geneva Yacht Club (Lessor) shall not be responsible for injuries to persons or property occurring on any part of the premises or for any reason whether herein specifically stated or not.

    3.       Lessee agrees to all terms and regulations as set forth in this agreement. Failure by boat owner to comply with the terms and regulations as stated, will entitle Lake Geneva Yacht Club to terminate and cancel this agreement with no refund.

    4.       Lessee will provide insurance for loss or damage to the boat described on front page and holds Lake Geneva Yacht Club (Lessor) harmless from subrogation claims of his/her insurance company.

    5.       Lake Geneva Yacht Club (Lessor) reserves the right to move the boat to any other storage space as Lake Geneva Yacht Club may find necessary.

    6.       This agreement shall be valid from time boat is left in Lake Geneva Yacht Club possession and such time that boat is removed from storage and off Lake Geneva Yacht Club property.

     

    7.       Contract rates are subject to seasonal changes and yearly increases.

     

    8.       Waiver of Contractual rights: The failure of either party to enforce any provision of this Lease shall not be construed as a waiver or limitation of that party's right to subsequently enforce and compel strict compliance with every provision of this Lease.

     

    9.       Security and Liability: Lessee understands that the Lessor does not provide any security system for the Premises. Lessee's possessions will occupy the Premises entirely at the risk of the Lessee. Lessor is not responsible for carrying any insurance covering Lessee's possessions. Lessee should, at his or her own expense, obtain insurance for the possessions stored at the Premises. Lessee releases Lessor from any loss, damage, claim or injury resulting from any casualty on the Premises. Lessee understands and agrees that the Lessee accepts full responsibility for any and all personal injuries or any other damages that may occur during use of the storage space, regardless of the reason. Further, Lessee agrees that Lessor, and all associated owners, agents, and employees, be held harmless for any and all injuries and damages occurring inside or outside of the Premises.  

     

     

    IN WITNESS WHEREOF, this Lease has been executed and delivered in the manner prescribed by law as of the Effective Date first written above.
