• 2025-26 Maryland Veterinary Foundation Scholarship Application

  • General Application Instructions

  • To be considered for one or more of the scholarships listed below, applicant must:

    1. Be a Maryland resident.
    2. Be a current second, third, or fourth-year veterinary student  enrolled in an AVMA-accredited or ECFVG-listed veterinary college
    3. Have applied for financial aid.
    4. Provide all required documentation listed in the application.
    5. Answer all application essay questions.

    PLEASE NOTE: Previous applications may be used. Adding to, updating, and/or expanding upon a previously submitted application may improve chances of receiving a scholarship. 

    At any time, you may save your progress and finish the application later.

  • Your choice of who you ask to write your letter of recommendation may be considered in the evaluation process, so please consider the following guidelines carefully:

    1. Choose a writer who can speak to your professional attributes and personal character as they pertain to your future veterinary career.
    2. Writer does not have to be a veterinarian, but it must be someone in the veterinary profession, higher education or related industry with knowledge of the veterinary profession.
    3. Writer must be someone you have had recent interaction with (within the past 3 years).
