  • About Leadership Horizons

Leadership Horizons is dedicated to advancing leadership development and enhancing professional skills within the Buffalo Trace area. Promoted by the Maysville Area Chamber of Commerce and supported by program alumni, our sessions help participants develop an understanding of the region's assets, strengths, and challenges, while providing opportunities to network and build valuable contacts that positively impact their communities and careers.

    Application Procedure

Selection Criteria: Participation is open to residents of Bracken, Fleming, Lewis, Mason, and Robertson counties in Kentucky, as well as Brown and Adams counties in Ohio. Each year, a maximum of 20 individuals will be selected for the program. Due to limited spots, those not selected are encouraged to reapply in future years.

Class of 2025-26 participants will be chosen by the Leadership Horizons Selection Committee based on the information provided in the application. The Committee seeks to represent a cross-section of the region, including individuals active in business, health care, education, the arts, religion, government, community-based organizations, or real estate. Diversity in representation is a key consideration.

    Dates and Times:

One of the goals of Leadership Horizons is to build a network of individuals who can enhance their problem-solving skills and leadership abilities through shared perspectives and working together. Please answer the following questions.
  • To graduate from Leadership Horizons, a participant is expected to attend all monthly sessions. Even though emergencies arise, any participant missing more than two sessions, for whatever reason, will be asked to withdraw from the program and their tuition shall be forfeited.
