Hot Pepper Eating Contest Waiver & Release of Liability
Event: Wears Valley Fall Fest
Organizer: Keep Sevier Beautiful
I, the undersigned participant, acknowledge and agree to the following:
Voluntary Participation
I am voluntarily participating in the Hot Pepper Eating Contest. I understand that consuming hot peppers can cause health risks, including but not limited to: choking, allergic reactions, difficulty breathing, nausea, vomiting, heartburn, abdominal pain, injury to internal organs, increased heart rate, or in rare cases, severe medical emergencies.
Assumption of Risk
I fully assume all risks associated with participation, including any and all medical consequences that may arise from ingesting hot peppers or related foods during the contest.
Medical Fitness
I certify that I am in good health and have no known medical conditions that would endanger me by participating. I have not been advised by a physician to avoid consuming spicy foods.
Release of Liability
In consideration of being allowed to participate, I release and hold harmless Keep Sevier Beautiful, Wears Valley Fall Fest organizers, sponsors, partners, volunteers, and affiliates from any and all claims, damages, or causes of action arising from participation in this contest, including negligence.
Consent to Medical Treatment
I consent to receive emergency medical treatment if deemed necessary during the contest. I understand I am responsible for any related costs.
Publicity Release
I grant permission for the use of my name, image, and likeness in photographs, video, or media coverage of the event, without compensation.
Binding Agreement
This waiver is binding upon me, my heirs, executors, and legal representatives.
I am at least 18 years old.
