  • The Alcove has two types of volunteer opportunities:

    1. Recurring Volunteer Shifts

      • Recurring volunteers are stationed at our Welcome Desk — their role is to provide a warm, welcome environment to everyone who visits The Alcove.

        You can read more about the role of Welcome Desk Volunteers here.

      • These shifts are Tuesday-Friday, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. or 1 p.m. - 5 p.m.

      • Recurring volunteers that commit up to 4 shifts a month receive free membership (for that month) to The Alcove.

    2. Occasional/Event Based Volunteers

      • The Alcove has several events over the course of the month that we need support on for setup, check-in, breakdown, etc.

      • We also have occasional projects such as bookwrapping and cataloging, marketing support, and other admin-type opportunities.

      • These projects are often shared at the beginning of the month. By providing your information below, you will receive our emails about these opportunities as they become available.
