The Velocity x Rituals Pop Up Class Series was founded in 2025 by Velocity Dance Center and Rituals. This program facilitates a local and national exchange between artists in the dance field by offering classes and workshops in the Seattle area. Velocity and Rituals are excited to invest in this partnership, founded on intentional community building, process over product, and physical research through the tender magic of class taking.

NOTE ON CLASS PRICING: Class price is $20. We also offer reduced-cost registration (flexible) if you are experiencing resource scarcity. Additionally, we offer $5 class "for folks historically excluded from or marginalized in dance research spaces." Please reach out to shane@velocitydancecenter.org to receive a discount code. Feel free to show up on the day of the class to receive these subsidized rates.

WORKSHOP PARTICIPANT WAIVER

By signing below, I certify that my level of health, determined by me or my physician, will allow me to safely participate in this program. I agree to assume full responsibility for any risks, injuries or damages, known or unknown, which I might incur as a result of participating in the class. I hereby release my instructor and Velocity Dance Center or Rituals from responsibility for any injuries I may sustain as a result of participation in this program. I have read the above release and waiver of liability and fully understand its contents and legally, voluntarily agree to the terms and conditions stated above.By signing below, I give my permission for Velocity Dance Center and Ritualsto release my name, related information about me and the events I participate in via news, social media, photograph and/or video; to disperse information about the photographed, video taped, or webcasted event to the news media; to use the above information and/or the above photograph/video in Velocity Dance Center and Ritualspublications and promotions.

REFUND POLICY

Velocity’s refund policies were created to offer as much flexibility to our community as possible, while still protecting Velocity and Rituals from risk and instability.

The refund schedule for the Workshops is:

Up until 1 month before the class: All registration fees, less 5% of the tuition, are fully refundable for any reason.
1-7 days out from class start: All registration fees are 50% refundable for any reason.
After your class begins: All registration fees are non-refundable for any reason, including illness or injury.
