NEW MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION

New applicants (and lapsed members who were not members in the past year) must be at least 18 years old and submit the dues payment plus this fully completed/signed membership application. New applicants (and reapplying lapsed members) must also sign the Release and Waiver of Liability at the end of this application and successfully complete a Straight Shooter Range Safety Orientation. The individual membership fee can be found on our website. Annual dues are applicable from date of application to are renewed on the anniversary of initial application as prescribed in the Signed and Dated ACH agreement. Monthly dues are applicable from the date of application and due monthly basis as prescribed in the signed and dated ACH agreement.

BASIC FIREARMS SAFETY RULES

(to be followed at all times on and off the range)
- Treat all guns as if they are always loaded
- Never let the muzzle cover anything you are not willing to destroy
- Keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are on target and you're ready to shoot
- Be sure of your target and what is behind it

STRAIGHT SHOOTER RANGE RULES
By appointment/reservation onlyCased guns can be moved to/from the firing line shooting tables at any time (not behind the firing line), but guns are not to be uncased (or touched) while people are downrangeYou MUST pick up your trashUncased guns must not be moved to/from the shooting tables or long gun racks while people are downrangeUncased guns must be holstered or carried with actions open and muzzles upNo reckless or irresponsible behaviorNo Holster drawing without individual supervisionPregnant and nursing women enter at their own risk
The pistol and rifle ranges are combined and may not be used together. Range may have its own Range Safety Officer. Shooters on one range may shoot on that range, even if there is a cease fire on the other range. All other posted safety rules apply at both ranges.Anyone may call an EMERGENCY CEASE FIRE if an unsafe condition is suspected. All guns must be holstered immediately or tabled until the unsafe condition is resolved.During a GENERAL CEASE FIRE, all guns must be holstered, or unloaded and tabled/racked with actions openNo guns shall be TOUCHED IN ANY WAY while anyone is downrange.ONLY go down range once all firearms are clear and Range Safety Officer has given the all clear.
During informal shooting activities with no designated Range Safety Officer, it is the responsibility of every shooter to ensure all the safety rules are followed by all shootersStraight Shooter members are responsible for the safety and conduct of their guests. (Members are limited to two active shooting guests at a time.)Eye and ear protection is mandatory for everyone (including observers.)Children must be under the constant control of a responsible adultUnless changed by the designated Range Safety Officer, the firing line is parallel to the front of the shooting tables. MEMBERSHIP AGREEMENT
I have read and understand the above Basic Firearms Safety Rules, and the Straight Shooter Range Safety Rules, and agree to abide by these rules as a condition of my membership. I understand that these rules may be modified from time-to-time, and that those changes will be communicated to the membership in a timely manner. I also understand that failure to obey the Straight Shooter safety rules and policies may result in termination of my membership and forfeiture of any paid dues

RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY
1.      I acknowledge that shooting a firearm is an inherently dangerous activity and involve both anticipated and unanticipated risks. Consequently, while at the Straight Shooter range I must and will follow the Straight Shooter safety rules and heed all commands from the designated range safety officer.

2.      I represent that I am physically fit and I have no medical, psychological, or any other condition, which would prevent or inhibit my use of the range, facility, or premises.

3.      I warrant and represent that I am able to pass the FBI background check, that I am legally free to purchase and own firearms in the state of Texas, and that I am under no type of restraining order which prevents my possession and/or use of firearms.

4.      I hereby assume full responsibility for any and all risks, injuries and/or damages, known and unknown, or whatsoever kind or nature, which might incur as a result of shooting at the Straight Shooter range.

5.      I assume responsibility and liability for any act(s), even negligent, reckless, or criminal act or omission, of any and all of my Guests that I bring to the Straight Shooter range. (I understand that “my Guests” includes any and all persons who enter or use any of the Straight Shooter facilities whether engaged or observing shooting or other activities.)

6.      In further consideration of being permitted to use the range, facility, or premises, I, my legal heirs, executors, administrators, next of kin, successors, or legal representatives knowingly, voluntarily, and expressly WAIVE, RELEASE, DISCHARGE, AND HOLD HARMLESS, Straight Shooter, LLC, and its agents, owner, facilities owner, officers, members, directors, shareholders, instructors, employees, volunteers, or representatives from any and all injuries or damages of whatsoever kind and nature that I may sustain as a result of my use of the range, facility, or premises, or of direct or indirect use of the range, facility, or premises

7.      Further, I COVENANT NOT TO SUE Straight Shooter, LLC, or its agents, facilities owner, owner, officers, members, directors, shareholders, employees, instructors, volunteers, or representatives from any and all injuries or damages of whatsoever kind and nature that I may sustain as a result of my use of the range, facility, or premises, or of direct or indirect use of the range, facility, or premises.

8.      I agree that any provisions of this release are held to be invalid, nevertheless, the balance of the release shall continue in full force and effect.

9.      I agree not to seek to hold Straight Shooter, LLC, its agents, owner, facilities owner, officers, members, directors, shareholders, instructors, employees, volunteers, or representatives liable for slander and/or libel as part of being removed from the range, facility, or premises.

10.   I agree that if the Range Safety Officer believes that I am or will be unsafe or dangerous, the Range Safety Officer will remove me from the range, facility, or premises with no refund. I also agree not to seek to hold Straight Shooter, LLC, its agents, owner, facilities owner, officers, members, directors, shareholders, instructors, employees, volunteers, or representatives liable for slander and/or libel as part of being removed.

11.   I understand that photos and video, including some of me, may be taken during my use of the range, facility, or premises. I grant permission to Straight Shooter, LLC, its employees, agents, representatives, and volunteers the irrevocable right to reproduce the photographs and/or video images taken of me or members of my family, for the purpose of publication, promotion, illustration, advertising, or trade, in any manner or in any medium. I hereby release Straight Shooter, LLC, its employees, agents, representatives, and volunteers from all claims and liability relating to such images or video. Further, I grant permission to use my statements that were given during the course, class, or instruction, with or without my name, for the purpose of advertising and publicity without restriction. I waive my right to compensation related to the same.

12.   I agree to accept financial responsibility for the repair of any EQUIPMENT that I rent, borrow, or use that is owned by Straight Shooter, LLC, A. Jay Temple, and/or its/his legal representatives in the event that damages were directly caused by me whether or not damages were accidental or purposeful.

13.   This release shall remain in full force and effect so long as I participate in activities at the Straight Shooter range.

14.   I have read, understand its contents, and fully agree with the above release and waiver of liability.
