Postcards from the Edge 2026 Logo
  • Postcards from the Edge is back! Your donated artwork means more this year during a frightening moment for cultural organizations like Visual AIDS.

With your support, we will raise over $100,000 to sustain Visual AIDS’ mission of supporting artists living with HIV, preserving the legacies of those who have been lost to AIDS, and creating innovative public programming to bring contemporary discourse to HIV and AIDS worldwide — because AIDS isn't over! Visit visualaids.org to learn more about our work.

All postcards are sold anonymously for $100 and all funds raised go to support Visual AIDS.

PLEASE USE THIS ONLINE FORM TO SUBMIT:

WE ARE SHIFTING TO A FULLY ONLINE SUBMISSION PROCESS. IF YOU USE A PAPER FORM, NOTIFICATION OF RECEIPT OF ARTWORK AND EXHIBITION INFORMATION MAY BE DELAYED UNTIL EARLY 2026.

  • How to Participate

Please read the information below before submitting, even if you're a long time PFTE participant!
    1. Create an original postcard-size artwork (4 x 6 inches; any orientation). Drawings, photographs, paintings, printmaking, sculpture, and mixed media are welcome. Original artworks only — artworks should have the direct hand of the artist (no mass printed editions, or work from someone else); photographs should be printed on high-quality archival paper. One entry per artist.

    2. Remember to keep it anonymous! Do not sign the front of your artwork and please refrain from posting images of your work publicly until after the sale starts — it's part of the fun! Artist names are revealed AFTER purchase.

    3. Complete our online submission form below. You will receive a submission number after completing the form.

    4. Write your submission number on the back of your artwork, along with your full name and signature. Indicate the top of the artwork with an arrow. If it’s not possible to write on your postcard, you may enclose a separate piece of paper with your submission number.

    5. Information for collectors: You can share contact information and an artist statement in the form below. If your artwork is purchased, the buyer will receive this information along with your artwork.

    6. Carefully package your artwork and write your submission number on the outside of your envelope. We recommend that you wrap artwork in wax paper and place it between cardboard. Do not submit charcoal or pastel pieces without fixing them. Do not send wet or sticky artwork. DO NOT SEND YOUR ARTWORK WITHOUT A PACKAGE OR ENVELOPE AS IT WILL GET POSTMARKED AND DAMAGED.

    7. Mail your artwork to Visual AIDS by the postmark deadline: November 22, 2025. Mailing address: Visual AIDS, 526 West 26th Street #309, New York, NY 10001 PUT YOUR ARTWORK IN AN ENVELOPE OR PACKAGE

    8. You will receive an email notification when your postcard is processed by Visual AIDS. Please make sure your email address is entered correctly—this is how we will contact you. After the sale has ended, you will also receive a notification email to let you know if your artwork was sold.
