  • Note: Recipients may only request one waiver to apply toward the Annual Meeting registration. If you've received more than one DIG waiver recommendation, please inform the DIG whose waiver you will not be redeeming of your decision.

  • DIG Waiver Policy & Procedure

    • A DIG Waiver provides one (1) complimentary Annual Meeting registration—either in‑person or on‑demand—to individuals who would otherwise not attend, such as invited guests, contributors, or distinguished visitors. Waivers may be used for all session types associated with the Annual Meeting. Please note that membership benefits, as well as registrations for Fee-Based Sessions (e.g., Networking Guest Passes and social events), are not included.
    • Waivers are not available for AOM members and may not be used as an award for AOM members. Adherence to Academy-wide policy is mandatory: All members attending the Annual Meeting, including the Executive Committee, Board of Governors, and volunteers contributing to the Annual Meeting, are required to pay registration fees.
    • Only DIG officers (such as a Chair, Program Chair, etc.) may recommend individuals to receive a waiver.
    • Once a DIG officer selects a candidate, they must formally provide a written statement (an email confirmation is fine) to them regarding their recommendation. The candidate must then submit the 2026 Registration Request Form (DIG Waiver) and upload a copy of their statement/email as proof of referral before the deadline. Waiver submissions will not be accepted via email and cannot be entered into AOM’s online registration system.
    • A candidate must submit their 2026 Registration Request Form (DIG Waiver) by 1 July 2026 17:00 ET (UTC-4/GMT-4). We highly recommend submitting the form as soon as possible to avoid rejection.
    • Once a candidate submits their form and their information is verified, they will receive an email from registration@aom.org within 3-5 business days confirming AOM has registered them on their behalf.
    • As of 2024, there is no longer a fixed number of waivers designated to each DIG. AOM instead processes waiver requests on a first-come, first-served basis. We highly recommend DIGs identify their candidates early, as approval is not guaranteed. For instance, a DIG officer may recommend 15 candidates, however, only 10 may be approved depending on their request submission date.
    • If a candidate has already registered, they must email registration@aom.org after submitting the request form to request a refund. AOM will contact the registrant with confirmation of their refund and substitution of waived payment.
  • AOM Registration Cancellation Policy

  • To cancel any registration for any reason, the registrant must submit a cancellation request in writing to AOM at registration@aom.org.

The Annual Meeting registration fee is refundable until 1 July 2026 17:00 ET (UTC-4/GMT-4) and is subject to an $85 processing fee (this does not apply to waivers). This fee helps cover the administrative and logistical costs AOM incurs in preparing for each attendee’s participation, including processing, staffing, and planning resources.

Cancellations of Fee-Based Sessions and Professional Development Workshops are fully refundable by the deadline and are not subject to a processing fee. When an Annual Meeting registration is cancelled, any associated Fee-Based Sessions and Professional Development Workshops will also be cancelled.

Refund requests received after the deadline cannot be honored due to contractual obligations and guarantees. This refund policy applies equally to Annual Meeting, Fee-Based Sessions, and Professional Development Workshops. Exceptions will not be made for changes to travel arrangements or for registrants who required a visa and registered before acquiring one. Refunds cannot be processed once a badge has been picked up. No-shows are not eligible for refunds.

All eligible refunds will be issued to the original payment method. If your card information has changed, please contact your bank directly. Refunds for wire transfers or mailed checks will be sent to the original account used for payment. Registrations and refunds are individual, non-transferable, and cannot be applied to any future service, conference, or event. Refunds are typically received within 5–10 business days, depending on your financial institution. Refunds by wire transfer or mailed check may take up to 4–6 weeks for processing. Any currency conversion differences and bank fees are the responsibility of the registrant.

Please visit AOM's Annual Meeting Policies to learn more.

  • By signing below, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the above policies, and understand that all fees and refunds will be processed in accordance with these policies.
