CONFIDENTIAL LOCATION:
I understand that the location of this Building Futures facility must be kept strictly confidential in order to protect the safety of both staff and clients.
I recognize that revealing the location of a battered women’s shelter is a misdemeanor crime in the state of California. (California penal code section 273.7).
I agree not to disclose the address, neighborhood, or directions, or otherwise compromise the confidentiality of this facility to anyone.
RESIDENTS’ PRIVACY:
I agree that residents must at all times be treated to preserve individual dignity.
I agree not to disclose residents’ names or any other identifying information that may compromise the privacy of residents to anyone.
VOLUNTEER CONDUCT:
I agree not to disclose residents’ names or any other identifying information that may compromise the privacy of residents to anyone.
I will not engage with residents.
I will not offer money, goods, or rides to residents or lend, borrow, or trade. (If you are interested in making a donation, please visit our website for more information and make any arrangements in advance.)
I will not take any photographs or video on or around the premises.
I confirm that I am not acquainted with any current resident which would prohibit me from volunteering.
I agree to refrain from behavior that may offend any person’s gender, sexual orientation, marital status, religion, age, veteran status, disability, ethnicity, or skin color or that may be construed as romantic or sexual.
By signing this, I agree to all of the above policies, consent to be included in Building Futures’ mailing list, and grant permission to use my name and picture to promote activities for Building Futures.
