2027 NBB Youth State Team - Expression of Interest

2027 NORTH BARRIER BRANCH - YOUTH STATE TEAM - EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI)

Youth State Championship will be held Thursday 11th March through to Sunday 14 March 2027. Please note: Lodging this EOI does NOT guarantee that your child/children will be selected in the 2027 NBB Youth State Team. Please DO NOT submit an EOI if you do not wish to be considered for selection and/or attend the championship. Furthermore, if your circumstances change and you no longer wish to be considered for selection, please advise (in writing) the NBB Branch Office ASAP. via email nbbslsq@lifesaving.com.au. EOI DUE 12 October 2026 (late nominations will not be accepted).

The 2027 NBB Youth State Team will be selected from results from the following carnivals. To display a commitment to supporting our branch, the Surf Sports Committee and selectors will need to see attendance at no less than four (4) carnivals over the season.

1 - Picnic Bay Carnival - 29 August 2026

2 - Sarina Carnival - 5 September 2026

3 - Arcadian Carnival - 19 and 20 September 2026

4 - Forrest Beach Carnival - 10 and 11 October 2026

5 - North Australian Championships, Mackay - 30 Oct to 1 Nov 2026 (Attendance recommended)

6 - NB Branch Champships, Mackay - 28-29 November 2026 (Attendance recommended)

NB - exemption/s may be applied for special circumstances, communication with Branch via email is essential. nbbslsq@lifesaving.com.au

The Branch Youth State Team will be announced after the Branch Champsionship.

UNIFORMS

Uniforms will be ordered after North Aussies for the selected NBB Team members. Uniforms will remain the same as the 2023 State Championships, therefore returning team members can reuse their existing uniform (if practical). The cost of the clothing for each competitor will depend on the grant received from SLSQ and the number of competitors in the NBB team. Each competitor will receive a NBB noddy cap and pink vest to compete (no charge). Whilst not compulsory, it is recommended that all competitors have the NBB long sleeved shirt and NBB visor (same as 2023 uniform). No payment is required at this time.
