    Whether you’re trying rugby for the very first time, wanting to build on your foundational skills, or already an experienced player looking to refine your technique — this program is for YOU!

    Duration: 7 weeks (18 October – 29 November 2025)
    Sessions: Saturdays, 8:45 am arrival for 9:00–10:30 am
    Location: Dorrington Park, Ashgrove
    Cost: Free (yes, FREE!)
    Attendance: Flexible — come for 1, 3, or all 7 sessions
    Gear needed: Just runners, mouthguard and waterbottle
    Minimum age requirement:10years
    No experience needed - all welcome!

  • ⭐️ MEET THE COACH - STEVE DAY ⭐️
    Steve Day is a lifelong rugby enthusiast and experienced coach dedicated to building pathways for girls in rugby. He believes every girl should have the chance to pursue her rugby goals — from playing socially to reaching representative levels.

    With over 16 years of coaching experience at GPS Rugby Club, Steve is Level 2 Accredited, Smart Rugby certified, and holds a Blue Card. His coaching career spans Juniors and Seniors at GPS, Marist Ashgrove Rugby, and BJRU State Championships at U14 and U16 levels.

    Rugby runs deep in the Day family. Steve’s three sons have all played for GPS — his eldest having played QLD Schoolboys, GPS reserve and premier grade. Steve’s second son, now in the QRRA refereeing development squad. His daughter, Ezzie, is part of GPS’s history-making Girls U13 squad in 2026.
