In your own words, please describe the purpose of the SJC CoC, the value and relevance of it's mission, and the impact it makes in our community.
The CoC Board is a working group and as such, may require preparation work for meetings. Meetings are held monthly via Teams from 10am to 11:15am on the first Wednesday of the month and then in person on the second Wednesday of the following month in person from 8:30-9:30 am. This is a rotating schedule, every other month (six Teams meetings and six in-person meetings). Additional meetings may be required from time to time. Can you commit to active participation and attendance?

Your application is subject to further review by the CoC's appropriate work groups to determine eligibility for a Board role. Nomination slates for Board membership are created and released ahead of the SJC CoC's Annual Meeting, which typically takes place in the month of April. At the Annual Meeting, all interested entities are considered, but not guaranteed, a spot on the nomination slate. The CoC members in good standing will vote in new Board members and executive positions, if applicable, during the Annual Meeting. If a Board position becomes vacant throughout the calendar year, the CoC is able to explore appropriate candidates to fill said vacancy. Filling a vacancy on the Board does not begin a Board term. Terms are only determined during the SJC CoC's Annual Meeting. By signing, you are agreeing to understand and comply with this information.
