    Welcome!

DanceWize NSW volunteers are peers to the communities of people who use drugs at music festivals.

To volunteer with us, you should have lived experience of drug use, love attending music festivals and have existing drug harm reduction knowledge.

After assessing your application, our team will contact you to get to know you better. You will then need to complete some online training modules and attend an online group induction. After that, you'll be onboarded onto to the team.

    Excited to meet you!

  • What are we looking for and what do we expect?

  • We are looking for passionate people who are:

    • Willing to sacrifice a portion of their night out or time at a festival to help others
    • Dedicated and timely
    • Great at being flexible and having strong personal and professional boundaries

    We expect all volunteers to:

    • Regularly check our communication platform and stay in contact
    • Understand that you role extends beyond scheduled activities and includes modelling safe and responsibile behaviour at all times
    • Openly communicate any issues, grievances or hazards

    Time commitments:

    • You decide how involved you would like to get with DanceWize NSW
    • If you sign up for an event, there is an expectation that you will attend all meetings and briefing sessions relevant to that event
    • You must complete any mandatory training as required

Although you will have a lot of fun, this is still a professional workplace and you are expected to remain professional whilst on shift and on site.
