Join us for a creepy-crawly Halloween edition of Friday Night Science! Participants will learn the art of insect pinning with two special Halloween-themed specimens. We’ll also host a costume contest with prizes, and for the bravest among you—an insect tasting station featuring real edible bugs! Costumes encouraged, curiosity required.

In this session, participants will learn the fundamentals of insect pinning, including proper preservation techniques, insect anatomy, and display methods.

Each participant will receive a complete insect pinning kit to take home, along with two pinned insects completed during the workshop. The registration fee covers all materials, tools, and instruction, enabling participants to continue exploring entomology beyond the event.

- Pinning block
- Forceps
No previous experience required. Adults only.
