Rangatahi Co-Design
Kia ora rangatahi mā! We are so glad you have landed on this page and are interested in the Voices of Hope x Changing Minds co-design project. This project is an opportunity for rangatahi to lead a project that contributes to amplifying YOUNG voices of those with mental health lived experience. We warmly welcome those who are currently in the 16 - 25 age bracket, have lived experience of mental health challenges or mental illness, and are based in Tāmaki Makaurau/Auckland. This is unlike our usual campaign submissions, where we invite people to share their story, and rather an opportunity for those who feel they are ready to go one step further and take a leading role in the creation of a project designed for rangatahi, by rangatahi. We’re looking for people who feel they are in a safe enough place to use their lived experience to help shape initiatives. If you’re not there right now, that’s totally okay - there will be future opportunities. (Please note: if you are under the age of 18, you must have parental/guardian consent to be involved). This is a VOLUNTARY opportunity, however you will receive a koha and will be well fed throughout the workshops. To be eligible for this project, you must be available to attend the workshops on Saturday 11th October 9am-1pm (central Auckland location), Saturday 18th October 9am-1pm (central Auckland location), and Thursday 14th November 6.30pm-9pm (online).
