Acknowledgement of Risk:
There are substantial risks, hazards, and dangers inherent in the participation of this event. You recognise that this event may involve strenuous physical activities. I hereby affirm that I am in good physical condition and in a position to participate in this event. I do not suffer from any known disability or condition that would prevent or limit my participation. I hereby waive all and any claim, right or cause of action which I or anyone else might otherwise have arising out of loss of my life, or injury, damage, or loss of any description whatsoever, in which I may suffer or sustain during or consequent upon my participation in the said event, including expenses of subsequent medical treatment or hospitalisation.
By participating in this event, I confirm that none of the following apply to me:
a. I have been diagnosed as having a heart problem.
b. I have been diagnosed as having a lung problem.
c. I frequently suffer pains in the chest.
d. I frequently feel dizzy or faint.
e. I have a bone or joint condition which may be aggravated by exercise.
f. I have a medical condition for which my entry in this event presents a risk to my health and others. If any such conditions do apply to me, I confirm that I have notified the organisers in writing of my condition and am willing to seek a medical certificate from a doctor stating that I am able to participate. I voluntarily and knowingly accept the risk of injury by my participation in this event.
Emergency Medical Services
In the case of a medical emergency, I give permission for Darkside Strength or anyone within the venue to seek emergency services for me should I become injured or ill, with the understanding that I am responsible for any expenses incurred. If signing on behalf of a child, the above applies.
This waiver, release and discharge shall be and operate separately in favour of all persons, companies and bodies involved in the promotion or conduct of the event, and the servants, agents, representatives, and officers of any of them, and of any first aid or paramedical personnel summoned in the event of injury to me.
Photography
I hereby release all photographic and video material to be posted on social media or the Darkside Strength website unless otherwise stated. If you do not wish for your photos to be used, please email darksidemeetdirector@gmail.com.
Entry Fee Payment & Refund Policy
Please note that we have a NO refund or transfer policy in place. Please ensure you can attend and participate in this event before completing your registration. Registration fees are set by the Australian Powerlifting League.
Drug-Testing
If I am entering the drug-tested division, I agree to the APL Drug Testing Policy (available HERE)
Confirmation
I confirm that I am at least 18 years of age or if under 18 years of age and competing as a Junior, I have sought permission from a parent or legal guardian to participate in this event, and will be accompanied by a parent or guardian throughout the duration of the competition.
