K-1ST GRADE FALL LEAGUE

The Chesterton Girls Basketball Club is the official feeder program for the Chesterton High School Girls' Basketball Program. Under the direction of Head Coach Candy Wilson, her coaching staff, and dedicated parent volunteers, our program aims to offer opportunities for all girls in K-8th Grades. Whether they are new to the game or have prior experience, every player will have the chance to be a part of the Chesterton Basketball Program.

GENERAL INFORMATION K-1ST

Our K-1st Grade League is an introductory league for girls in the K-1st grade levels. All practices and games will be held at Chesterton High School.

PRACTICES

We will host one practice a week that will be an hour long on Monday nights from 5:45pm-6:45pm.

GAME INFORMATION

Games will be held Saturday mornings at either 9:00 am or 10:00 am at Chesterton High School.

$100 and includes the following:

The Chesterton Basketball Fall K&1st Grade League provides an excellent opportunity for young players to become a part of the Chesterton basketball community and develop their skills in a supportive and engaging environment.

Each player will be assigned to a team and will participate in a well-rounded program.

RELEASE OF LIABILITY

I understand that there will not be an athletic trainer on site for the Chesterton Basketball League. I understand that coaches will have access to the training room where they can get ice from the ice machine if that is needed due to injury. The Chesterton Basketball League will have personnel available to assist if anything is needed. Chesterton Girls Basketball LLC, Trojan Basketball Club, Chesterton High School, the supervisors and coaches, the Duneland School Corporation, as well as the Chesterton High School Athletic Department, are not liable for any injuries that could occur throughout participating in the Chesterton Basketball League.

Release of Liability Signature: I, the parent and/or guardian have read the above & understand that I am responsible and release all liability.

SPECTATOR CODE OF CONDUCT

The following spectator standards and guidelines will be upheld and enforced with all spectators at each and every game:

Fans attending games will respectfully cheer both their team and the opponent in the spirit of good sportsmanship. They will support the efforts of players and coaches regardless of the result and comply with any directions given by game management and officials.

Fans are expected to not ridicule, criticize, or show any signs of disrespect to officials, players, coaches, or other spectators. The use vulgar, racial, culturally insensitive and/or abusive language or threatening gestures will not be tolerated. Engaging in any activity that embarrasses or berates others and prohibits them from enjoying the experience of the game will not be allowed. Furthermore, anyone attending any game under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be permitted. Parents and/or fans engaging in any of these behaviors will be asked to leave the game and may not return to any further games for our league.

The following player standards and guidelines will be upheld and enforced with all players at each and every game:

Players are expected to be respectful at all times to officials, league management, opponents, coaches, and fans. No foul language, physically aggressive acts, or gestures will be tolerated. Engaging in any activity that berates others and interferes with fair and safe play is unacceptable. Players engaging in any of these behaviors will be asked to leave the game and may be subject to removal from the league.
