In 2025, the Atlanta REALTORS® Impact Foundation approved a new placemaking grant opportunity that will provide funds and support for community-driven projects that activate, improve, and transform public spaces to enhance community vibrancy, safety, identity, and social connection.
This $500 grant opportunity will be awarded to four organizations in 2026, based on the following criteria:
- Only Atlanta REALTORS® Association (ARA) members may apply
- Detailed project plans must be provided
- Proof that funds were applied as stated within 12 months of receipt of grant funds (such as receipts, photos, etc.). Recipient will receive $250 upon approval, and then the remaining $250 upon project completion. Checks will be made payable only to the organization named as beneficiary in the application - not to individuals.
- By applying, the applicant gives ARA permission to use the applicant's photo, image or likeness if awarded the grant.
- ARA must be notified if any changes to the project scope occur post-award.
- ARA must receive recognition for contribution toward project (e.g. an "honorable mention" or "noted" in any coverage or announcement about the project), including:
- The year of project completion
- "Atlanta REALTORS® Association" and ARA logo

Types of projects that may receive grant approval:
- Recreational areas or places for a single purpose (e.g. basketball courts, baseball & soccer fields, tennis courts)
- Locations available to the whole community (e.g. public housing project, schools, recreation centers, building interior)
- Improvements to buildings or other structures for community use
- Restoration, repair, improvement, or replacement of amenities not covered by HOA (e.g. benches, tables, gazebos, trees/plants, playground equipment), but not including monuments or statues
- Landscaping/beautification/streetscape projects
- Multiple amenities (e.g. benches, bike racks) installed along a multi-site area (such as a street or trail)
Private residences and HOA communities will not be considered.
