Unfortunately due to unforseen circumstances, we are unable to offer dates for October and November 2025. Updates will be provided via UGME curriculum coordinator regarding the resumption of this program.

Student Access to Clinical Skills Equipment

• You may only register for a timeslot if you have completed the CS module. Access to the equipment occurs after you have attended the module with a UGME preceptor.  
• When reserving a timeslot, 2-3 students will be assigned to the same piece of equipment for the 25 minute timeslot.  
• Do not double book a timeslot.  A student who books two equiment items for the same timeslot will have the extra booking deleted.  
• You may book different equipment for different timeslots.
• You will be notified when there is five minutes remaining in your booking.  
• New dates will be added mid month for each subsequent month.  

2-3 business days prior to your reservation, you will receive an email notifying you of the location of the open night.  

There may be instances when a date listed below will need to be cancelled closer to the day.  We'll aim to give as much notice as possible.

Students who book a reservation and do not show more than three times may be restricted from making future requests.

Rectal Examination Trainer: Training in the core skills of digital rectal and PR examinations. It is also suitable for training in the identification of abnormal and pathological conditions.
Airway Management Trainer, Adult: Simulates an adult airway, and the lifelike upper torso and head can be used to demonstrate and practice intubation, ventilation, and suction techniques
Laryngoscope, Glidescope Cobalt AVL: Comprehensive and flexible airway visualization system for video laryngoscopy, bronchoscopy and multimodal airway procedures.
Airway Trainer, Deluxe Difficult: Manually inflatable tongue to simulate obstructed airway and is designed for training the management of difficult airway
Ambu aView Flexible Endoscopy Monitor: Portable high resolution monitor that is compatible with flexible scopes including Ambu® aScope™ 4 Broncho
Central Line Man with Articulating Head: Soft tissue training system for teaching Internal Jugular or Subclavian vascular access methods
Ear Examination Simulator: otoscopy simulator with nine cases (includes one normal)
Ophthosim Ophthalmoscopy Training and Simulation: Practice monocular vision and improve ophthalmoscopic/funduscopic technique. Diagnose real-world eye conditions within a simulated environment
OtoSim: otoscopy simulation trainer built for teaching and testing otoscopy skills.
Cardiopulmonary Patient Simulator, Harvey: Manikin simulates cardiac disease with varying blood pressure, pulses, and heart sounds and murmurs.
Sam2 Student Auscultation Manikin : Manikin simulates heart, lung and bowel sounds
Physiko Plus Assessment Trainer: Physical assessment simulator that uses a variety of pre-set and custom patient scenarios to help practice and master physical examination skills
Lumbar Puncture/Epidural Trainer, Adult: Simulate cerebrospinal fluid pressures ranging from 5 to 25 cmH2O, and offers palpable landmarks for accurate identification of target vertebrae.
Joint Injection Model for Knee Aspiration, ultrasound capabilities: Anatomically accurate knee model allows for practicing the injection and aspiration of synovial fluid from the knee joint. It can be used with palpation or ultrasound guidance
Joint Injection Model, Elbow: Features two injection sites for practicing soft tissue joint injections used to treat injuries like tennis elbow and golfer's elbow. It helps users develop skills in patient positioning, palpation, and landmark identification
Joint Injection Model, Foot and Ankle : Practice soft tissue injections in the ankle to treat injuries and arthritis. It allows users to develop skills in patient management, palpation, and identifying key injection sites like the tarsal tunnel and plantar fascia
Joint Injection Model, Hand and Wrist: Articulated hand and wrist model is used for practicing soft tissue injections in four key areas, including the carpal tunnel, while also teaching users to avoid the median nerve

Pelvic Examination Trainer, Female: Trainer used for practicing gynecological procedures such as speculum insertion, cervix visualization, and specimen collection for cervical cancer screening
Blood Pressure Training Arm, Palpable radial and brachial pulses: This device simulates palpable brachial and radial pulses and features an LCD screen for operation. It allows for programming of systolic, diastolic, and auscultatory gap measurements, and also indicates a gauge reading as pressure changes
Prestan Manikin Family Pack (2 adult, 1 child, 2 infant): The Prestan Manikin Family Pack includes two adult, one child, and two infant CPR training manikins. Each manikin provides instant feedback on compression rate and depth through both visual lights and an audible clicker, helping students practice proper CPR technique
