I understand that postnatal yoga includes physical movements as well as opportunities for breathing, relaxation, and stress relief. As is the case with any physical activity, the risk of injury, even serious or disabling, is always present and cannot be entirely eliminated. I acknowledge that I am participating voluntarily and that it is my responsibility to honor my body’s limits at all times. If I experience any pain, dizziness, or discomfort, I will discontinue the activity and ask for support from the instructor. I assume full responsibility for any and all risks, injuries, or damages, known or unknown, that may result from participation.
I understand that yoga is not a substitute for medical attention, examination, diagnosis, or treatment. Postnatal yoga is not recommended under certain medical conditions without the advice of a physician. By signing this document, I affirm that a licensed physician has verified my health and physical condition for participation in such a program, or that I have independently decided to participate at my own risk. I agree to inform the instructor of any physical limitations, injuries, or medical concerns prior to or during class.
If I am pregnant again, recently postnatal, or have had surgery, I verify that I have my physician’s approval to participate. I acknowledge that it is my responsibility to decide whether to practice yoga and that participation is at my own risk.
I hereby release, waive, and discharge Kelly Brown, from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action for injuries or damages that I may sustain as a result of participation in postnatal yoga classes, workshops, or related activities.
I have read, fully understand, and agree to the above terms of this Liability Waiver Agreement. I am signing voluntarily and recognize that this document serves as a complete and unconditional release of all liability to the greatest extent allowed by law in the State of California.
