    • How is your blood work analysis different from my doctor's analysis?
    • When your doctor reviews blood work, results are measured against wide “average” ranges from the general population. These ranges don’t necessarily reflect what’s optimal for health or ideal variations in ranges that should occur between different genders and age groups.

Very often, your practitioner will not discuss your blood work results with you until they are on the cusp of or within a disease range.

The ranges I use are based on functional frameworks to highlight opportunities for health optimization and disease prevention, rather than waiting until you're within a disease range.

    • Should I book a 1-to-1 consultation with you or the 12-week self-directed program?
    • The 12-week self-directed program is an excellent option for anyone seeking the valuable health insights, benefits, and personalized plans of working one-on-one with a practitioner, but without the time or financial commitment. It’s ideal if you’re motivated to follow a plan independently and want the flexibility of a self-guided approach.

If you know you thrive with real-time support and regular check-ins, you may benefit more from private consultations.

    • What is the price difference between programs?
    • 12-Week Self-Directed Program - $250
      12-Week Self-Directed Program + 7-Day Meal Plan - $300
      12-Week Self-Directed Program + 14-Day Meal Plan - $350
*Note: As this is a new program, I’ve opened it at its lowest launch price. If you’ve been considering working with me or waiting for the self-directed program, now is a great time to get started to lock in the current rate.

Health Program WITH 75 minute virtual consultation - $350 (with an average of 1-3 additional follow-ups booked as needed. The price of follow-ups reflect time used in-session, see JaneApp for a complete breakdown of prices.)

    • Will I receive regular and ongoing support from you?
    • Ongoing email support is only offered to clients who have ongoing consultation appointments. Support is directly related to questions regarding the protocols we have implemented.

The 12-week self-directed program does not include long-term email or messaging support. You have a 7-day period from receiving your program to reach out with any questions or clarifications regarding the program materials. After this 7-day period, support is no longer available, and all questions or communications outside this timeframe will not be answered as I prioritise responding to my clients undergoing active coaching.

    • What are the options after the 12-week self-directed program?
    • Some clients choose to continue with a second plan after their 12-week program to maintain progress and move into the next stage of their health goals. Allow yourself enough time for a short break after the program (1-2 weeks), then get updated bloodwork and fill out the self-directed form again with an attachment of your new blood work results.

If you would prefer your next program to include 1-to-1 virtual calls and ongoing email support, then you can book an initial consultation here.

*Note: Creating subsequent protocols involves a deeper level of work, as I review your past results alongside new data to track changes and identify ongoing priorities. For this reason, I am unable to provide a discounted rate for those moving from a 12-week program to ongoing coaching.

    • What are the steps to getting blood work?
    • Download this form to take to your doctor or nurse practitioner. It includes a full list of the markers I recommend testing.

Be sure to request a copy and follow the instructions for testing below:

      • Test in the morning, ideally 10-12 hours after your last meal (avoid fasts longer than 12 hours if possible)
      • Only drink plain water the morning of the test (a litre of water is preferable)
      • Stop all supplements 48-72 hours prior to testing (continue all essential medications as prescribed and include in your intake form below)
      • No vigorous exercise or sauna use for 2-3 days prior (walking and yoga are o.k.)
      • For women please avoid testing during your menses

If you are doing 1-to-1 coaching you will need to send me blood work results 48 hours ahead of your consultation time to solacewithsara@gmail.com

If you are doing the 12-week self-directed program, attach your results to the form upon check-out.

You are welcome to include any other health-related documents you would like for me to review for your consultation or program. Attaching old lab test results up to 1-2 years old can be useful as well in order for me to assess for patterns and changes to health status overtime.

    • Are you covered under private insurance plans?
    • Yes, depending on your plan! My designations are Certified Nutritional Practitioner (CNP) and Natural Nutrition Clinical Practitioner (NNCP.) Coverage can often be found under nutrition, nutritionist and nutritional counselling.

You can learn the details of your coverage by contacting your extended health carrier or your plan administrator.

You can also check if your policy includes an HSA (Health Spending Account). The funds in your HSA can be used towards any health-related service or purchase.

I do not handle insurance plans directly, but all receipts include my license numbers.

    • How do I know if we're a good fit to work together?
    • I recommend checking out the testimonials that my clients have so kindly taken the time to share. They include stories of personal healing journeys that help detail the health challenges I have helped them overcome, and the goals that I've helped them reach.

I also offer a free 15 minute discovery call if you wish to learn more, or have any further questions about the process.

    • Will my protocols also include supplements?
    • Absolutely. The need for supplements varies greatly from person to person, since long-standing imbalances often require targeted support that food alone can’t always provide.

Putting aside the fact that most clients are coming to see me after years or even decades of deficiencies, modern soil depletion and reduced nutrient density in our food supply also mean it’s hard to meet optimal needs through diet alone.

Supplement recommendations are included in the 12-week plan, typically averaging around $5–$20 per day. This works out to around $35–$140 per week for a complete, personalized plan with all of the necessary supplements.

Plans also include general guidance, such as: personalized nutrition advice using macronutrient guidelines to support your health goals, as well as fitness, diet, sleep, stress and lifestyle recommendations.
