  • This Advanced Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) Training is proudly funded by the Shiawassee Community Foundation in partnership with Shiawassee Health & Wellness, Memorial Healthcare, Shiawassee Family YMCA, and Baker College of Owosso.

Once we understand Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)—potentially traumatic events that occur during childhood—we must ask: What can we do next?

This advanced session goes beyond awareness to focus on prevention and response. Through small group work and discussion, participants will explore how to apply their expertise and roles as community members to create meaningful change.

Develop personal and professional action steps, Discover strategies for building healthier communities, and Learn how to support resilience in children and adults

Pre-requisite required: Participants must have completed the Adverse Childhood Experiences Trauma Training, which provides foundational knowledge of ACEs and their impact.

Together, we can take what we know and turn it into action—helping children, families, and communities thrive.

This session will educate on ACEs and how we can make a difference.

We look forward to providing this FREE training for individuals in Shiawassee County on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 from 9:00 am-12:00 pm.

Thank you for being a partner in prevention in Shiawassee County!
