Welcome to the application for the 2025/26 Say Somaali Leaders Program!

The Say Somaali Leaders program will take place at 34 John Street (North York, major intersection: Weston and John st). Toronto, ON. All mandatory sessions run on either Saturdays or Sundays from 2:30 - 6:00 PM. If you are entering first or second year of your post-secondary program in the 2025-2026 school year, you will attend Saturday sessions. If you are entering third, fourth or fifth year, you will attend the Sunday sessions. Pleae only register if you are sure you are able to attend your respective session.

Eliglibility: Somali youth (ages of 17-23) in post-secondary in the Greater Toronto Area. 

Program Details: Sessions and activities will be on weekends (Saturday and Sunday afternoons). There may be special events and trips that are held on other days.

Here are the tentative dates for the Fall Semester (Sept-Dec):

Oct 4th/5th: Orientation

Nov 1/2: Session 1

Nov 29/30 Session 2

Dec 27/28: Session 3

December: End of year activity 

Please note, there may be spontaneous activities and social events that happen outside of these dates. These sessions are for you to have fun and get to know each other,  and they  are not mandatory. 

Duration: October 2025-June 2026

Attendance Policy: In order to participate in the Leaders program, you need to commit to attending the Orientation, and at least 80% of the remaining sessions. Failure to attend the orientation will result in un-enrollment. Failure to attend 80% of the regular sessions will also result in un-enrollment.
