INFORMATION & GUIDELINES

• Painting the Spirit Stone is available on a first come, first serve basis.
  Reservations must be made and confirmed before painting.
  The cost is $25 per day, and proceeds benefit Sacred Heart Elementary students.Each reservation covers a 24-hour period.
  
  
• You may begin painting after 4:00 PM the evening of your reservation.
  All painting must be completed before 7:00 AM the next morning.
  This ensures your child’s message is displayed all day.
  
  
• Families are responsible for providing their own paint, brushes, and supplies.
  We recommend bringing a base coat color (white or black) to cover the previous design. A tarp, drop cloth, or garbage bags must be used to protect the grass and sidewalks. Remove all trash, supplies, and coverings after painting. Parent/guardian supervision is required at all times.
  
  
• All messages must be positive and school-appropriate.
  No foul language, inappropriate images, discriminatory words/symbols, or political messaging. Inappropriate content will be removed immediately and the renter will lose future painting privileges.
  Photos of your finished Spirit Stone must be texted to the number provided- 601-422-7786.. Approved photos may be shared on Sacred Heart social media.
  
  
• The renter assumes liability for injuries, paint spills, or property damage.
  Sacred Heart reserves the right to cover or repaint any inappropriate design.

SPIRIT STONE FAQs

What can I paint the Spirit Stone for?
Birthdays, thank-yous, congratulations, good luck, milestones, staff shout-outs, and more!

Who can reserve it?
Any Sacred Heart Elementary parent, guardian, family member, teacher, or staff member.

How long does my reservation last?
The $25 fee guarantees your design will remain for at least 24 hours (from 4:00 PM the day you paint until 4:00 PM the following day).

Which day should I reserve?
Reserve the day you will paint. Example: If your child’s birthday is February 10, reserve February 9th to paint that evening so it’s ready the morning of February 10.

What paint should I bring?

A base coat (spray paint or latex) to cover the previous design.
4–5 cans of spray paint or a quart of latex paint depending on colors.
Acrylic paint and foam/craft brushes for details.

What if it rains?
The stone can be towel-dried and painted even in light rain. No refunds for inclement weather, forgotten reservations, or no-shows. Rain checks may be requested within 48 hours of your date if another spot is available.

Can someone else paint it for me?
Yes — you may ask or hire someone else. However, you are responsible for the final design and for any damages.
