  • Bursary Awards Philosophy

These funds are meant to be a one-time award, to be utilised for individuals who are enrolled or plan to enroll in: (1) a short-duration programme, (2) single course completion with a local institute or organisation, (3) Associate’s or Post-Graduate Degree, (4) a professionally recognised programme to obtain an Industry Diploma, Certificate or Designation from an accredited organisation or educational institute. (5) Bursary amounts are determined based on a variety of factors, such as course costs, available funding, number of applicants, and prior applicant submissions. The goal is to support as many applicants as possible and provide a level of support that aligns with supporting community professional development. Awards may not cover the full tuition but every effort is made to allocate resourecs fairly across all eligible applicants. NOTE: Funds are to be used directly for tuition or course costs, and students will show proof of cost and enrollment. PLEASE NOTE: Bursary Awards are NOT meant to support applicants pursuing Bachelor’s Degrees. Those degrees are supported via the Overseas Undergraduate Scholarship.
