Use this form to apply for scholarship assistance if you have not (recently) applied for or been on scholarship with Tri State before. If awarded as an undergraduate student, funding may only be applied to fall and/or spring semesters.
To be considered for a Tri State Scholarship, you must first complete the FAFSA. If you haven’t applied for FAFSA yet, please do so before submitting this application. Also, if you qualify for a full Pell Grant and plan to attend NEMCC or ICC as a commuting student, your school charges should be fully covered, which means you would not be eligible for additional assistance through Tri State.
Counties included in Tri State’s area are: Alcorn, Itawamba, Lee, Prentiss, Tippah, Tishomingo, and Union in MS; Colbert, Franklin, Lauderdale, Lawrence, and Marion in AL; and Chester, Hardeman, Hardin, Lawrence, McNairy, and Wayne in TN. However, Tishomingo County receives first priority.
Tri State assists with undergraduate degrees in any field and graduate degrees in education only. Undergraduate requests receive priority.
Tri State scholarships may only be used for tuition, fees, meal plans, dormitory (on-campus housing), books, and necessary supplies as long as the charges can be billed through the college/university. Tri State Scholarships are supplemental scholarships, which means that we pay after all other scholarships and grants. If all your charges are covered, we will not be billed. Also, our scholarship money can never be given directly to the student.
Tri State scholarship recipients must complete at least 12 hours each semester at the undergraduate level and maintain at least a 2.0 term GPA each semester with no failures.
