Bucket or attachment securely mounted and inspected for cracks, bends, or wear
Articulation area clean and properly greased
Steps, handrails, and grab handles secure and undamaged

3. Safety Systems
Backup alarm functioning
Horn operational
Lights operational (headlights, brake lights, work lights, etc.)

Seatbelt in good condition and functioning
Cab door and windows open/close properly
4. Operator Cab Check
Cab clean and free of obstructions
Mirrors and/or cameras clean and properly adjusted
Seat, armrests, and controls in good condition
Gauges operational
Warning lights/alarms illuminate and reset at startup
HVAC system functioning (if enclosed cab)
5. Functional Test (After Start-Up)
Engine starts smoothly
No unusual noises, smoke, or vibrations
Hydraulic lift, tilt, and dump functions working smoothly
Steering and articulation responsive
Forward, reverse, and turning functions normal
Parking brake holds machine in place
Service brakes responsive
6. Attachments (If Equipped)
Quick coupler securely engaged
Hydraulic hoses and connections secure and leak-free
Attachment functions properly during test
7. Final Checks
No warning lights, error codes, or active fault messages
All tools, chains, and materials secured
Issues reported immediately to supervisor
