Safety decals and warning labels visible and legible
Stabilizers/pads intact and deploy properly
Hook, grapple, or tool attachment secure and undamaged

4. Operator Station Check (Cab or Remote)

Remote control battery charged and emergency stop tested (if remote operated)
HVAC system working (if enclosed cab)
5. Functional Test (After Start-Up)
Smooth engine start
No abnormal noises or vibrations during warm-up
Boom extension, retraction, and articulation operate smoothly
Rotation/slew function operates properly
Grapple, saw, or lifting attachment responds as intended
Stabilizers deploy and retract correctly
Emergency stop system shuts down functions when activated
6. Load Handling & Attachments
Hydraulic couplers tight and leak-free
Hook, grapple, or log loader attachment securely mounted
Control functions calibrated and responsive
Attachment wear points and hoses inspected
Lifting components (chains, cables, slings) inspected for damage
7. Final Checks
No warning lights, diagnostic codes, or fault alarms
All tools, gear, and debris secured
Report any mechanical, hydraulic, or safety issues to supervisor immediately
